Today we will look at the relationship of brothers and sisters in Christ from the Bible. God is our Father and we are His children. Since we are all children of one Father, we are brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. When we say we are brothers and sisters of Christ we describe God as our Father through it.
Just as in a family, brothers and sisters love one another, in Christ we should love one another. The Lord Jesus commands us to love one another as He loves us. Let us glorify the kingdom and righteousness of God through this love.
In this way we build a deeper spiritual relationship with fellow believers. When we live in this way we remain steadfast in the Word of God and we can also strengthen our brothers and sisters who are weak in faith. Since the church is a family, we should be sympathetic to all our brothers and sisters and build ourselves up in a bond of love.
In the New Testament we see that believers in the early church tied themselves up in close bonds. They lived in harmony and supported each other. They sold their possessions, ate together, and lived equally. It is very important that we follow these teachings in our congregation. Our congregation grows even more when we live according to this teaching.
Since we are brothers and sisters in Christ, we can face difficult times together when Satan brings problems into our lives. We can encourage each other and help each other to be dependent on God without being discouraged. In this way we can participate in the improvement of the congregation by growing in the teachings of Jesus.
Let us see the Bible scriptures below that talk about brothers and sisters in Christ.
