Putting faith in God gives us the courage to expect great things from God. The Bible is filled with stories and teachings that encourage us to ask for greater things from God. This is possible if we have a good relationship with God.
In Abraham’s life, we see that God promised to give him a son. But Abraham had to wait a long time to get this son. God had promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations, but when he was old, he had no children. Here we see Abraham’s faith in God that he would truly be the father of many nations. God blessed him and made him the father of many nations.
In Moses’ life, we see that he was an ordinary man. He couldn’t even speak as well as the others. God used him to rescue the nation of Israel. Moses realized that he couldn’t do this. He knew very well that he couldn’t lead such a great nation as a leader. He later realized that God would make the impossible possible through him. And we see in the Bible how God brought the nation of Israel out of Egypt through Moses.
Expecting great things means believing in God’s plan even when things are not in our favor. Through our faith, we understand that God will do miracles in our lives, and He is faithful. Throughout the Bible, we see God’s many wonders and great works that encourage us to be dependent upon Him.
By believing we are to wait on God for great things to happen according to His will. One important thing we need to remember is that expecting big things does not mean selfishness or pleasure. We would expect something from God that would increase His kingdom and righteousness.
Now let us see the Bible scriptures below that talk about ‘Expecting Great Things’.
